Roger Mohrlang Papers 1960-2003.

The bulk of the folios comprise letters from Dr. Mohrlang in Africa to his parents . These set forth the conditions under which he lived and his enthusiasm for translating the English New Testament into the Higi language of the Kamwe people in Nigeria. There is also a large folio describing the preparation and eventual publication of the New Testament.

In 1968 Roger Mohrlang moved into a mud hut in the desert corner of Nigeria. (NOTE: Kelly McBride, "Gospel according to Roger" in The Spokesman-Review, Spokane, Washington, July 31, 1997.)
